Aerospace Students Take Off

In general, one can qualify as an aerospace engineer without having seen an airplane at close distance. In order to make that way of education not all too easy, the flight measurement lecture is part of the aircraft aerodynamics module. The participants spend one day on the airfield of the gliders' club. Each participant gets a flight in a glider, where she or he conducts simple measurement tasks and can get a feeling for flying at the controls. After two years of forced interruption and a meantime change of the airfield by Akaflieg as the main partner, today's event was a comeback. Thanks to the active help from members of the Akaflieg as well as the Aeroclub Pirna, this can be called a success.
