Mr. Hilbig studied mechanical engineering with a specialisation in general and constructive mechanical engineering at TU Dresden until 2019. During his studies, Mr. Hilbig completed various internships in the areas of transmission pre-development, patenting and hybrid components at Volkswagen AG and was a tutor at the professorship for shaping manufacturing processes. Furthermore, he dealt with the "Use of neural networks for the detection of control geometries in discrete 3D data" in his diploma thesis.
After completing his studies, Mr. Hilbig has been employed as a research assistant at the chair since April 2019. His main topics are geometric feature processing for automatic surface feedback in the reverse engineering process as well as machine learning methods in CAE applications.
