Lino Stoiber studied mechanical engineering at TU Dresden from 2014 to 2022, specialising in "general and constructive mechanical engineering". Accompanying his studies, he worked as a student assistant since 2015 and assisted in the implementation of exercises at the Chair of Design Engineering/CAD (now Chair of Virtual Product Development).
During his internship at the VEM Sachsenwerk in Dresden, he was responsible for developing an adjustable fastening for axial fan blades made of aluminium. During his research semester, he analysed different electrolysis-based process routes for the synthesis of methanol from H2O and CO2 at Fraunhofer IKTS in Dresden. During his semester abroad at the Chinese-German University College of the Tongji University in Shanghai, he deepened his knowledge of factory planning and technical logistics. The topic of his diploma thesis was the development of a concept for maintenance in products of integrated AI models.
Since September 2022, Lino Stoiber has been working as a research assistant at the Chair of Virtual Product Development in the area of Human Behaviour in Design and is responsible for teaching the exercises in the design theory lecture.
