Maximilian Kretzschmar studied mechanical engineering at TU Dresden until 2023, specialising in general and constructive mechanical engineering. During his internship at Robert Bosch GmbH, he worked on the introduction of an AI-based deviation management system in an Industry 4.0 production line. As a working student at the Fraunhofer Institute for Material and Beam Technology, he contributed to the design and layout of assemblies in the field of hyperspectral imaging.
In his diploma thesis he investigated the influence of the domain gap on AI models trained with synthetic data for the optical identification of real machine components.
Since October 2023, he has been working as a research assistant at the Institute for Virtual Product Development and is pursuing his doctorate at MAN Truck & Bus SE.
