CAE methods in the familiarisation phase of sheet metal forming
Runtime | 1/2009 - 12/2010 |
Funding | AiF, Europäische Forschungsvereinigung für Blechumformung |
Project staff | Dr.-Ing. habil. Christine Schöne (former staff member) |
Partners | ehem. Institut für Festkörpermechanik |
ehem. Institut für Werkzeugmaschinen und Steuerungstechnik |
Motivation
- Model extension with regard to static press influences demonstrated in principle and parameter determination solved.
- In principle, vertical, horizontal and tilting stiffnesses of the drawing and the sheet holder ram can be mapped.
- Influences on pulling results were shown.
- Scenarios regarding the manual tooling procedure are demonstrated.
- Automated topology optimisation in terms of tool incorporation.
- Comparison with real processes.
Project content
Potentials of time reduction and cost reduction through:
- Topology adjustment in virtual (with press influence)
- Simulation closer to reality (experimental proof)
- Use of precise tool data for tool repair
