Description:
Probabilistic methods make it possible to directly incorporate uncertainties in the calculation of lifetime consumption. Thus, the safety factors used so far can be checked, reduced or even abolished. Possible conservativity can thus be identified and abandoned in favour of a more flexible driving style. Due to the necessary flexibilization of turbomachinery, one focus of sub-project 4.1b is to make procedures from probabilistics or stochastics applicable and industrially suitable for complete driving or flight regimes with different speed and temperature ranges. In addition to the development and application of suitable methods from the field of probabilistics or data mining, the adaptation and application of the methods to an engineering problem is also in the foreground. The robustness of the design as well as the manufacturability in the manufacturing process should be thematized.
