Diversity Days 2025 at the TUD: Origin shapes - diversity moves
The Diversity Days will take place at the TUD Dresden University of Technology from November 24 to 28, 2025. Under the motto "Origin shapes - diversity moves" , this year's series of events is dedicated to the many dimensions of origin and its significance for an open university community.
Origin is deliberately defined broadly - as a formative but not solely determining element of personal identity. Numerous formats such as lectures, workshops, discussion rounds, games, guided tours and film screenings invite you to explore the question of how origin influences coexistence and how diversity can be actively shaped at the TUD.
The format focuses on different topics each year and creates space for exchange, diversity of perspectives and reflection. The Diversity Days offer a platform for open dialog and shared experiences.
Everyone is invited to contribute different perspectives, learn from each other and develop ideas together.
From November 24 to 28, the Diversity Days 2025 at the TUD Dresden University of Technology will be dedicated to the topic "Origin shapes - diversity moves!".

📍Foyer of the Fritz Foerster Building, Mommsenstr. 6, 01069 Dresden - 24 November 2025, 16:00 - 18:00 | Diverse thinking: Because origin doesn't fit into any box (panel discussion)
To kick off the Diversity Days, the panel discussion "Vielfältig gedacht: Weil Herkunft in keine Schublade passt" invites you to shed light on the topic of "origin" in all its diversity: socially, linguistically, culturally and politically. With Simon Meier-Vieracker (Chair of Applied Linguistics, TUD), Gina Nattke (P.E.A.C.H.) and Lisa Bendiek (Kulturbüro Sachsen e.V.), experts from various fields will discuss how origin can shape people and create belonging - but also deny access and potentially reinforce inequality. The discussion opens up space for different experiences, critical perspectives and new questions. Following the moderated discussion, the audience is invited to contribute their own questions and thoughts.
