Taiwan
The excellent research and education in the field of semiconductor technology makes Taiwan an attractive cooperation partner for TU Dresden in order to jointly advance technology transfer on a global scale and train future specialists for the industry.
The opening of the Saxon Science Liaison Office Taiwan and the establishment of the practice-oriented STIPT exchange program for Saxon students form the basis for a further expansion of partnerships with Taiwanese universities and industry-related research institutions, especially in the fields of microelectronics and semiconductor technology.
The cooperation with Taiwanese universities is meant to enable researchers to work more closely together on joint projects in the future and benefit from the expertise and know-how of their colleagues. This shall raise TU Dresden's overall profile and improve its reputation in the scientific community.
TU Dresden is currently intensifying its activities to establish a partnership network with the following six universities:
- National Cheng Kung University (NCKU)
- National Chung Hsing University (NCHU)
- National Taiwan University (NTU)
- National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (Taiwan Tech)
- National Tsing Hua University (NTHU)
- National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU)
