German courses for employees
We offer international employees of TU Dresden the opportunity to improve their German language skills in one of our courses. As the number of places is limited, we would also like to point out the following offers. Doctoral candidates and postdocs have the opportunity to register for a German course at the DRESDEN-concept Welcome Center. In addition, various associations in Dresden offer German courses organized on a non-profit basis.
The course comprises of 15 teaching units, each session usually two teaching units of 45 minutes.
Registration and placement:
Enrollment for runs up to December 12, 2025.
Upon completing your registration, you will take a placement test (consisting of written and oral tasks). After the placement test, we will put together a group that is as homogeneous as possible according to your language level.
You will then be informed of the course date and location. If you have made any additional comments when registering, e.g. regarding the course topic or course date, these will be taken into account as far as possible. Please note that due to many factors, such as German level, room and trainer availability, group planning is very complex and not all requests can always be met. Priority is given to the composition of the groups and your previous knowledge for the creation of an effective learning experience.
Absence rules:
The prerequisite for successful participation in the language course is attendance of at least 80% of the lessons. If you are unable to attend, please inform the coach directly. If your attendance rate in the language course is less than 50% without an excuse, the attendance restriction of six months will come into effect and you will have to forgo participation in our events for the above-mentioned period.
Note on data protection:
Your personal data will then be passed on to the external language provider linguarama, who will take over the further organization at this point, in compliance with data protection regulations. It will be used exclusively for the purpose of organizing the language courses and will not be passed on to third parties.
