Getting to Dresden
Due to its location, Dresden is well-connected to regional and international networks of travel and transit. The city can comfortably be reached by train, bus, plane, and car.
By train
The German railway network links Dresden with all major German and European destinations. Long-distance trains to and from Dresden arrive at and depart from the stations "Dresden Hauptbahnhof" (main station) and "Dresden Neustadt".

By bus
Dresden is also connected to regional and international networks of long-distance coach routes. The most extensive network is offered by Flixbus, a company that also operates a limited number of long-distance train routes.

Dresden can conveniently be reached by using the motorways A4, A13 and A14.

Dresden Airport is located approximately 9 km north of the city centre. Non-stop flights connect it to the international airports in Germany, Europe and several international destinations.

Approx. 170 km to the north, Berlin-Brandenburg Airport offers frequent connections to all international destinations.

The local public transport service in Dresden and the surrounding region is excellent, featuring train, tram, bus and ferry services.
