Annual conference of the German Society for Biomaterials (DGBM) in Dresden
The annual conference of the German Society for Biomaterials (DGBM) will take place in Dresden from October 9 to 11, 2025. The Young Scientists Forum will meet on October 8 for an exchange at the Lab Tour.
Around 200 biomaterials researchers, medical professionals and company representatives will come together at the Center for Regenerative Therapies Dresden (CRTD) to discuss the current status and latest developments in the field of biomaterials.
Biomaterials are all materials that are in direct contact with living tissue or blood and are used in medicine. These include implant materials, but also blood bags, resorbable scaffold structures for tissue regeneration and electrodes for neurostimulation, to name just a few examples.
A central topic is 3D printing and bioprinting, i.e. printing processes involving living cells.
The conference was organized by Professor Michael Gelinsky, Head of the Centre for Translational Bone, Joint and Soft Tissue Research and current President of the DGBM.
Detailed information on the event can be found on the website www.dgbm-kongress.de. Registration for the conference is still possible.
