DSCS Key Competencies: Science Communication taking place at 14th of April
To pursue successful careers in translational research, scientific key competencies and a thriving network are as essential as methodological expertise. The Dresden School of Clinical Science (DSCS) meets this need with the seminar series "Clinical Science Key Competencies".
At “How to Communicate Science”, Robert Schuppe, project manager for science communication at the SLUB - TUD will explore the fundamentals of effective science communication, with a special focus on the use of audiovisual media.
Afterwards, in “Dissecting a Science Slam”, Marco Gustav, the runner-up of the Science Slam Championship 2023 will share exclusive insights into the world of science slams. Learn how science is brought to the stage, what makes a successful slam—and look forward to an engaging live performance.
An event for everyone who wants to rethink science in order to communicate it better!
This seminar is particularly aimed at early career researchers. However, we invite scientists at all career levels to get inspired by the teaser talks from local experts and to enjoy networking with peers and possible mentors. Join us at the House 66, 3rd floor. We look forward to see you!
If the topic you are passionate about is missing and should be included in next year’s key competencies, please get in touch with us at dscs@tu-dresden.de.
