Next call for application for the GeneNovate program open!
The application phase for the next round of the nationwide GeneNovate program is now open. The innovative entrepreneurship program of the National Strategy for Cell and Gene Therapy is aimed at early-career researchers and physicians who want to transfer their research in the field of gene and cell therapies, biotechnology and medicine into clinical application or a marketable product.
GeneNovate is the first Germany-wide program of its kind and offers a unique combination of workshops, mentoring and network access. The aim is to anchor an entrepreneurial mindset in academic careers at an early stage and to promote translational research in the long term.
TU Dresden, together with the SaxoCell innovation network, is once again part of the programme and the main organizer at the Dresden location. Together with Leipzig University and the Fraunhofer IZI, TU Dresden represents the entire "Region East" of the program.
The program is aimed at:

Master's students with a research focus

Doctoral students and postdocs

Physicians and experienced scientists from the life sciences, biotechnology and medicine
The program runs from December 2025 to June 2026 and includes

Kick-off meeting in December

Six hybrid input sessions

Six full-day workshops on site

Teamwork and pitch presentations

Closing event in Munich
Participation is free of charge.
