TOGETHER AGAINST TUBERCULOSIS - Learning through commitment
Get involved and accompany patients for the duration of their tuberculosis therapy. Become part of the TAT project.
What makes tuberculosis therapy so challenging?
Tuberculosis is an infectious disease caused by the myobacterium tuberculosis. Treatment requires months of medication, some of which have severe side effects. Tuberculosis is closely linked to poverty and precarious living conditions and is therefore often stigmatized. Close student support for patients can increase adherence to treatment.
You can support and learn in the process:
- accompany patients
- Understand social factors influencing health
- take action against antimicrobial resistance
- get to know the public health department and its work
- deepen your social, cultural and communication skills
- Become part of a Germany-wide student network
We offer: Accompanying program and group meetings for exchange, individual case discussions. Meetings on Thursday evenings every other week from April 10 (you can also join later).
