I would like to introduce myself in this short profile:
Who am I?
My name is René Körbitz and I studied Precision Engineering and Microtechnology at the Technical University of Dresden.
Where do I work?
I work as a research assistant at the Chair of Microsystems Technology and at the EKFZ of the University Hospital in Dresden.
What am I working on?
I'm working on the development of modern robotic instruments for endoscopy and laparoscopy. These devices should make doctors' work easier and safer in the future.
What can you talk to me about?
I can explain to you exactly why we are developing new devices for doctors and how we do it. I can also explain how our prototype works and what is special about it.
What is ‘Researchers close up' about?
The dialogue format: ‘Researchers close up’ gives you the opportunity not only to explore the exhibitions at COSMO, but also to make direct contact with researchers.
