The EURL for Public Health
Since the end of 2024 the EU designated 9 so-called EURLs addressing public health topics such as:
- Diphteria and pertussis
- Food- and waterborne bacteria
- Food and waterborne viruses
- Food, -water and vector borne helminths and protozoa
- Vector-borne viral pathogens
- Emerging, rodent-borne and zoonotic viral pathogens
- High-risk, emerging and zoonotic bacteria pathogens
- Legionella
The EURLs for public health are designated for a period of seven years and their activities will be funded under the EU4Health program.
