Tandem funding
Funding for a MeDDrive tandem research project in the field of oncology
The Dresden University Medicine Foundation, together with the Dresden School of Clinical Science and the Research and International Affairs Department of the Faculty of Medicine at TU Dresden
is offering project funding for a clinician and medical scientist research tandem in the field of oncology.
The call is aimed at early-career researchers in the clinical and experimental fields who want to work on a project together and make an important contribution to oncological research in Dresden. The projects should be translational in nature and address the context of modern cancer medicine, including interdisciplinary interfaces and innovative intervention options. The research tandem should consist of a Medical Scientist (experimental scientist) and a Clinician Scientist (research-active clinician) whose work is geared towards a common objective and thus complement and reinforce each other. Applications from two cooperating institutions are therefore particularly desirable. The tandems will work together on the relevant issues for the duration of their research project and are equally responsible for the implementation and success of the project in accordance with the submitted project proposal. Joint publications must be the goal of the tandem project. The maximum funding amount is 40 thousand euros. The funding period is two years.
The application deadline is 28.02.2025. The funding period is 01.07.2025 to 30.06.2027.
