Dr. Werner Jackstädt-Stiftung - Call for Research Grants - Application until 31.10.25
In 2025, the Dr. Werner Jackstädt Foundation will award 5 research grants to particularly qualified early-career researchers from Germany and abroad to carry out a further qualifying research stay outside their own institution. The research project to be carried out independently must be characterized by high scientific quality and originality at an international level.

- Ophthalmology
(in particular age-related macular degeneration)
- Nephrology
(in particular acute kidney failure and immunological
kidney diseases)
- oncology
(in particular geriatric hemato-oncology)
As a rule, applicants should have completed a degree in medicine.
They must have completed their doctorate and the age limit is 36 years.
The scholarship consists of a monthly basic amount (€ 1,750.00), a material allowance (€ 250.00), a variable foreign allowance and, if applicable, a married person's and childcare allowance and is granted for a period of one year.
An extension for a further year is generally possible. An additional application and a report on the research results to date must be submitted.
The application must be submitted in accordance with the DFG guidelines:
Curriculum vitae in table form with photograph, detailed description of the research project with work program and research methods as well as timetable, generally understandable summary (max. 12 pages), copies of certificates, list of publications, statement by a university lecturer on the person and the scientific project, confirmation of the scientific institution at which the research project is to be carried out.
