Kosing Graduate School 2022
The Dr. Georg E. and Marianne Kosing Foundation supports the promotion of science and research at the Faculty of Medicine of the Technische Universität Dresden in 2022. A special concern of the foundation is the promotion of young scientists in the field of human medicine, biomedicine and human biology.
The Kosing Graduate School 2022 starts on 01.01.2022 . The project "Can alterations in the nucleosome landscape sensitize cells for DNA breaks and radiation therapy?" by Prof. Felix Müller-Planitz, Dr. Anna Poetsch and Prof. Leoni A. Kunz-Schughart
One PhD scholarship will be awarded for each project:
MD thesis 1 / Subproject 1 (Prof. Müller-Planitz): Biochemical dissection of the protective function of nucleosome arrays on DNA damage.
MD thesis 2 / Subproject 2 (Dr. Poetsch): A genomics view on the nucleosome landscape and its consequences on genome stability.
MD thesis 3 / Subproject 3 (Prof. Kunz-Schughart): Radiobiological consequences of nucleosome remodeling by enzymes of the ISWI family in mES cells.
Interested persons can apply directly to the respective project leader.
