Spring School on Human Trafficking, Public Health and the Law
Certosa di Pontignano" in Tuscany, Italy, from 4 March to 16 March 2013. It will offer students of medicine, public health, law as well as political and social sciences the unique opportunity to deal with this highly relevant topic in an international and interdisciplinary context. During the 14 days of the program and the excursion to the east coast of Italy, the 40 participants will gain a deep insight into the issue following the innovative problem- and policy-oriented "New Haven Approach". This approach has been developed to analyze complex problems such as human trafficking and public health from the angles of all relevant disciplines, to review past legal decisions, and to recommend solutions in the common interest of an order of human dignity.
