The focus of Health Sciences and Public Health in research and teaching lies on:

  • explanations and implications of health conditions and disease causes,
  • interactions between humans and their natural, technical and social environments,
  • health promotion
  • coping with and/or overcoming of diseases
  • performances of the health system and possibilities to politically influence it
  • evaluation and quality control of the health system.
