British Ambassador Visits TU Dresden

On the 18^th of January 2019, the British Ambassador visited TU Dresden in order to familiarise himself with the joint transCampus between TU Dresden and King’s College London. HE Sir Sebastian Wood heard about the cooperation between the two universities when Saxony's Prime Minister Kretschmer visited London. TU Dresden’s Rector Prof Hans Müller-Steinhagen and transCampus Dean Prof Stefan Bornstein elaborated on how this unique cooperation has been continuously developed over the past five years by TUD’s Carl Gustav Carus Faculty of Medicine. Prof Gianaurelio Cuniberti and Prof Frank Fitzek also presented their projects in the field of materials sciences and in the development of new communication networks. Despite Brexit, this mutually beneficial cooperation is to be intensified over the next few years through complementary research projects. This endeavour will also be presented to HRH Prince Edward, Duke of Kent during his visit to CRTD on 11^th of February 2019.
