First annual retreat of the IRTG 2251: ICSMD in Dresden

Students and supervisors of the International Research Training Group (IRTG) met in Dresden for the first annual retreat from the 7th to the 9th of February. After a warm welcome by TU Dresden spokesperson Stefan Bornstein, each student had the opportunity to present their project and to gather valuable input and feedback from their PIs and fellow PhD/MD students. Another focus was laid on networking and workshops on career development, gender equality and the curriculum.
In the evenings, students and supervisors met for dinner at the summer residence of Carl Gustav Carus in Pillnitz and Schloss Eckberg.
The next annual retreat will take place in London at the beginning of 2019.
