Welcome Lucas May, M. Sc. Medical Photonics

Welcome, Lucas May! We are delighted to welcome Mr. Lucas May, M. Sc., to join our team as part of the Marietta Blau Scholarship. During his stay with us in the Department of Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering at the Faculty of Physics at TU Dresden, he will complete his dissertation and support our team in the field of optical coherence tomography (OCT).

Mr. May brings profound knowledge and several years of experience in the development of optical imaging systems and image analysis methods, which he has deepened in his previous career at renowned institutions and in various research projects. His doctorate at the Medical University of Vienna under Prof. Bernhard Baumann in the field of preclinical imaging technology underpins his expertise in the development of high-resolution structural and functional imaging systems.
