*The Marr lab develops methods and software to revolutionize image-based diagnostics in clinical practice and to effectively detect hematological disease patterns. On May 04th, Carsten Marr will provide insights into his translational research at the virtual Dresden Translational Oncology Seminar on "Artificial intelligence in computational hematopathology".
The director of the Institute of AI for Health (AIH) at Helmholtz Zentrum München, Carsten Marr received his diploma as a physicist from TU Munich in 2002. Since then, his research interests include biological respective gene regulatory networks, as well as modeling of large stem cell datasets. In 2017, he received, among others, the Erwin Schrödinger Award for his translational approach to quantify hematopoietic stem cells. With this expertise, he and his interdisciplinary team design Deep Learning algorithms for the analysis of biomedical image datasets.
Exciting topic or interested in chatting with Carsten Marr about his research? Then feel free to sign up via email (peggy.jungke@uniklinikum-dresden.de) for a short, in-person breakout session thereafter.
Clinicians will be rewarded with one continuing education point (SLÄK).
