Prof. Christine Engeland on-site in Dresden  – Join the DTOS on 08.06.2022 5 pm

On June 8^th, 2022 Christine Engeland will speak about “Oncolytic vaccines for targeted cancer immunotherapy” at the hybrid Dresden Translational Oncology Seminar. She is professor for experimental Virology at Witten/Herdecke University and affiliated to the Clinical Cooperation Unit Virotherapy at the NCT Heidelberg.

Based on clinical observations of tumor remissions upon viral infections, certain virus vaccines are developed as novel cancer therapeutics. The Engeland lab focuses on exploiting these vaccines for targeted cancer immunotherapy. By deciphering underlying mechanisms, they reveal potential therapeutic targets and strategies for rational genetic modification of the vaccines as well as combination treatment approaches.

The seminar takes place as hybrid event, Prof. Engeland will talk on-site in Dresden. Please register for your participation on-site (). Clinicians will be rewarded with one continuing education point.
