On April 27, 2023, the Paul Langerhans Institute Dresden (PLID) of the German Center for Diabetes Research (DZD), the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE) and the German Cancer Consortium (DKTK) will host the by now 5th Joint DZG Symposium Dresden to which we would like to invite you herewith. The afternoon event will take place in the conference floor of the BioInnovationsZentrum, Tatzberg 47/49, 01307 Dresden.
The overall aim of our joint symposium is to intensify the scientific exchange between the German Centers for Health Research (DZG) located in Dresden. We want to provide impulses for new collaborations on the Dresden LifeScience Campus and continue our efforts to create a forum where both young and established scientists can exchange information about current research strategies as well as the latest research methods in the individual centers. Our goal is not only to get to know each other better personally, but also to further raise awareness of the infrastructures available in Dresden. This awareness is the basic prerequisite for sustainable collaborations within the Dresden DZGs, which in turn are the basis for the development of new cross-DZG research strategies.
Common goal: research results shall reach patients faster
Basic researchers and clinicians work together in the DZG to transfer scientific results more quickly into medical practice and thus provide patients with optimal care. Collaboration across disciplinary and institutional boundaries is a strength and indispensable for successful translation from the laboratory to the clinic.
