In particular, integrating students into outpatient care from an early stage lays the foundation for long-term loyalty to the region. Through their experience in academic teaching practices, students familiarise themselves with the specifics of outpatient medical activities, as well as with the south-west Saxony region. They also have the opportunity to observe experienced doctors in the outpatient clinic:

• They can observe experienced doctors in the outpatient clinic and, depending on their level of study, perform important basic functions themselves.
• Depending on their level of study, they can also perform important basic functions themselves.
• They also get to know effective diagnostic options and
• they also experience the advantages of a much closer patient relationship than in the clinic.

The personal interaction between the students and the outpatient doctors is invaluable.
