Topics will be, based on the results of the Call for Ideas (CfI) through ESA's Open Space Innovation Platform (https://ideas.esa.int): on how to utilise 3D bioprinting for (1) investigating the effects of the space environment, (2) fabrication of clinically applicable tissues, (3) non-mammalian bioprinting, and (4) materials, techniques and analytical systems.
Based on the results, an ESA Announcement of Opportunity (AO) will be published to support terrestrial research to prepare bioprinting for use in space.
