Haidy Saleh Hassan and Frank Buchholz contribute to EMBO CRISPR-Cas Workshop
Haidy Saleh Hassan & Frank Buchholz at EMBO Crispr-Cas Workshop
The EMBO Workshop CRISPR-Cas: From Biology to Therapeutic Applications showcased groundbreaking research in gene editing.
Our lab was represented by Haidy Saleh Hassan and Frank Buchholz. Haidy presented a scientific poster titled “Modulating anti-tumor efficacy and T cell exhaustion through (epi)genetic manipulation of TCR negative regulators and immune checkpoints in BiTE-redirected T cells” Her outstanding work was recognized with a DG-GT Travel Grant Award – congratulations, Haidy!
Frank delivered a talk titled “Gene editing platforms for innovative health solutions,” sharing insights into the latest advancements in designer-recombinase technology and CRISPR base-editing to correct cancer driver mutations.
The workshop, renowned for its interdisciplinary approach, brought together experts to discuss bacterial defence mechanisms, structural biology, and clinical applications. It was funded by EMBO and took place in Sorrento (Italy).
