Surgical AI Hub Germany at EAES Congress in Belgrade
The BMBF-funded Surgical AI Hub Germany project, coordinated by USE-IT³ founders Professor Marius Distler (PI) and Professor Martin Wagner (Co-PI), presented itself in a variety of ways at this year's annual congress of the European Association of Endoscopic Surgery. In addition to various presentations on the project topic of surgical quality, there was the opportunity to familiarise with the first version of the developed data hub in the Technology Corner of the exhibition.
The overall aim of the project is to measure and improve surgical quality using artificial intelligence methods. To this end, the Surgical AI Hub Germany project is developing a data-centric technology platform that will create the necessary legal, organisational and technological conditions. The Surgical AI Hub Germany combines the surgical experience of various university hospitals, the expertise of German companies and the latest findings from scientists in the field of surgical data science.
