Two Best Poster Awards at the 33rd International EAES Congress 2025 in Belgrade for USE-IT³

The research group led by PD Dr Florian Oehme and PD Dr Felix von Bechtolsheim has won two Best Poster Awards for poster presentations at the 33rd International Congress of the EAES (European Association for Endoscopic Surgery). The congress took place from 17 June to 20 June 2025 in the Serbian capital Belgrade. The EAES Congress is an annual international conference at which experts in minimally invasive surgery come together to discuss the latest research findings, new technologies and procedures.

In their presentations, the researchers shared results on the topic of performance measurement in the field of minimally invasive surgery. PD Dr Florian Oehme presented on the topic of ‘The ASSESS Trial - benchmarking in the Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery’. Dr Jean-Paul Bereuter presented on the topic ‘Laparoscopic performance using high-cost vs. low-cost laparascopy simulators: a prospective, randomized multi-center trial’.
