Palina Nepachalovich defence doctroal thesis
- Congratulations to Palina Nepachalovich on Successfully Defending Her PhD!
On April 14, Palina Nepachalovich successfully defended her PhD thesis, “Role of Lipid Modifications and Lipidome Remodelling in Lipid Quality Control in Ferroptosis.”
During her doctoral research, Palina developed innovative bioanalytical approaches to detect and annotate oxidized lipids and to uncover the temporal dynamics of lipidome remodelling under oxidative stress and during ferroptotic cell death. Her work provides important new insights into how lipid metabolism responds to redox imbalance.
With two first-author publications (Link Nature Paper and Link Angewandte Chemie) and several co-authored collaborative studies (Link Nature 2022, Link Nature 2024, Linke Angewandte Chemie 2025, Link Nature 2026) Palina has made a significant contribution to advancing the field. We warmly congratulate her on this outstanding achievement and wish her continued success in her scientific career!
