From 7 to 11 September 2026, the Center for Regenerative Therapies Dresden (CRTD) at TU Dresden hosted the international EMBO Workshop “Lipid Code to Life.”
More than 170 scientists from around the world came together in Dresden for a week dedicated to current developments and new perspectives in lipid research. The scientific programme covered a broad range of topics, including lipidomics, membrane biophysics, structural biology, chemical biology, and the diverse functions of lipids in biological systems.
Alongside an outstanding scientific programme, the workshop provided many opportunities for personal exchange, discussion, and networking. The open and welcoming atmosphere brought together established scientists, early-career researchers, and representatives from industry, creating an inspiring environment for scientific exchange and new connections.
We look back on a highly successful and inspiring week and are delighted by the many new encounters, discussions, and collaborations that emerged in Dresden.
A heartfelt thank you to all organisers, speakers, participants, and supporters who contributed to making “Lipid Code to Life” such a successful event.
