Under starvation, Bacillus subtilis starts to form highly resistant dormant endospores. These spores can be used as biological active particles, called Sporobeads. Previous work showed the usage of the spores as a protein display system.
The aim of my study is to analyze the capacity and possibilities of the endospore as a protein display platform.
