Computer-based Approaches to Investigating Natural Products (CAINPs)
The guest lectureship will incororate computational aspects of plant and bacterial genomics in the teaching of Bachelors and Masters courses on natural products. Currently these aspects are not being addressed in the curriculum, so it is planned that the groundwork of some of these concepts would be laid initially through weekly seminars, as well as some guided practical sessions. The students will be initiated to the use of basis software like antiSMASH and plantiSMASH for the analysis of microbial and plant gene clusters, respectively. Besides, the digital materials to be developed is publicly available as a book chapter. -> link
