Orientation Sessions

First-Semester Orientation Week & Welcome Events at the Faculty of Biology

The Faculty of Biology warmly welcomes the first-year students of the 2026/2027 winter semester!

We cordially invite you to the official welcome events on October 6, 2026, at the Faculty of Biology, Zellescher Weg 20b, Seminar Building E33.

• At 10:00 a.m., the welcome ceremony for first-year students in the Bachelor’s degree program “Molecular Biology and Biotechnology”will begin
• followed at 1:00 p.m. by the orientation for students in the master’s degree program “Biology in Society.”
• Students in the “Biology Education” degree program will be warmly welcomed starting at 2:00 p.m. in Seminar Building SE2, Room 211.

Throughout the week, there will be a diverse program organized by the Biology Faculty Student Council (FSR); more information can be found on the Faculty Student Council’s website. Mentor groups will be formed to help run the first-semester events; this will take place during the orientation sessions.
