Obituary - Tianzhe Liu

We are deeply sad about the loss of our valuable team member and friend Dr. Tianzhe Liu.

Tian joined the group at the end of 2017 while we were still located in Munich. He worked on gut microbiome-related projects involving genetic engineering and microbiological/biochemical work. His work was funded by a prestigious EU fellowship.

Tian was an experienced researcher and mentor for all of us, but most importantly, a beloved friend. Dear Tian, we will miss you, your sunny smile and your limitless optimism.
