Georg Helm Prize: Award for outstanding scientific work at the TUD Dresden University of Technology

The Georg Helm Prize 2025 honors three outstanding scientific papers by TU Dresden students each year. The award is presented by the Verein zur Förderung von Studierenden der TUD Dresden University of Technology e.V. and honors outstanding work from all faculties or Central Units.
On January 31, 2026, the 31st Georg Helm Prize was awarded in the festive atmosphere of the Vereinshaus. The event was hosted by Sven Spielvogel, Chairman of the Board of the Verein zur Förderung Studierender an der TU Dresden e.V.. Prof. Dr.-Ing. N. Modler, Vice-Rector Academic Affairs Across the Life Course at the TUD Dresden University of Technology, gave the welcoming address.
This year's prizewinners were:
- Dr. rer. nat. Pedro Monteiro Cônsoli, Faculty of Physics, dissertation "Influence of disorder, fluctuations, and reduced symmetries on frustrated many-body systems"
- Dr. rer. nat. Daniel Eisele, Faculty of Psychology, dissertation "Effects of Novel eHMIs on Pedestrian-Vehicle Interactions"
- Jessica Flecks, Faculty of Education, state examination thesis "School development capacity. Perspectives and resources of school development in a secondary school in East Saxony"
With the Georg-Helm-Prize, the association sets a strong signal for the appreciation of young scientists and supports young people in their growth and work.
