The Ministry of Science is offering the Saxon Teaching Award with 40,000€ for the best lecturers in Saxony.

This prize is awarded every two years for lecturers (individuals or groups) at Saxon universities, art colleges, universities of applied sciences and the Saxon University of Cooperative Education. A total of four prizes are awarded. These are endowed with 10,000€ each.

Rectorates or the President of the Saxony University of Cooperative Education can submit proposals until 30 June 2023. However, personal applications are also possible. The prize honors outstanding lecturers who succeed in conveying the subject matter with new, clever ideas and concepts. The proposals will be examined and evaluated by a jury appointed by the Ministry of Science. The award winners will be determined in a final jury meeting in autumn 2023.
