Save the Date: Czech-German Innovation Days from 06.11. - 07.11.24 | Topic: Strategic Sovereignty In Semiconductor Technology
In the EU, with its high socio-economic standards and ambitious targets for decarbonization and sustainable production, the impact of microelectronics on technological and societal transformation is almost all-encompassing. At the same time, the value and supply chains of semiconductors are highly interconnected globally. The strategic focus in Europe, particularly in Germany and the Czech Republic, is therefore aimed at increasing European value within the global semiconductor industry. The most important prerequisite for achieving this goal is the creation of an excellent research base, which will drive technological innovation within the European semiconductor ecosystem.
Against this background, the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Prague, the Liaison Office of the Free State of Saxony in Prague and the Representation of the Free State of Bavaria in the Czech Republic are organizing the Czech-German Innovation Days on the topic of "The semiconductor heart of Europe? How Czechia and Germany aim to achieve strategic sovereignty".
Researchers, companies and political decision-makers from Saxony, the Czech Republic, Bavaria and all those interested in the topic are cordially invited to an exchange in Prague from November 6 - 7, 2024, where the following topics will be addressed:
- Strategic sovereignty in semiconductors and chips - Which path should the Czech Republic, Saxony and take?
- Between value creation and security of supply: the future of semiconductor procurement
- Trends and innovations that will determine tomorrow's technologies in the field of semiconductors and chips
The event is divided into two parts with an opening reception on 06.11.2024 and the conference on 07.11.2024. Please see the detailed program here.
