2017 University Elections
The university elections are one major step towards the core ideas of the faculties' restructurization: independence, synergies, interdisciplinarity and scopes.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, 28 and 29 November 2017 (for students also on Thursday, 30 November 2017), the elections of the Faculty Boards, Equal Opportunities Officers and their representatives will take place.
More independence, synergies, interdisciplinarity, scopes: This is the vision under which we want to reorganize the faculties of our School this year. An important step towards an efficient structure of a university of excellence are the upcoming elections of the Faculty Boards and Equal Opportunities Officers. You are cordially invited and called to participate in this first, substantial implementation of the School structure and School identification. Give your vote for the Faculty Board, Equal Opportunities Officers and their representatives!

What does the election mean?
In the course of the restructuring and formation of the School of Science, the faculties will gain more independence, meaning that the competencies of the elected representatives will increase considerably.
When will the election take place?
- from November 28th to 29th for university professors, academic staff as well as administrative and technical staff and
- from November 28th until 30th for students
From 9am to 4pm
Where will the election take place?
The Faculties of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Food Chemistry, Psychology and Biology of the School of Science will vote in
Willers-Bau, room C207.

Who will be elected?
- University professors, academic, administrative and technical staff representatives for the Faculty Boards of the School of Science and the School Committee
- the Equal Opportunities Officers and their representatives of the faculties of the School of Science
- representatives of the academic staff in the extended senate in the election district II respectively for the remaining election period (November 2018 bzw. 2019)
- Representatives of the student members in the Faculty Boards and the Equal Opportunities Officers and their representatives of the faculties of the School of Science as well as the School Committee
When will the vote counting take place?
The votes will be counted in public immediately after the end of the election in the respective voting rooms. The election results will be communicated by the chairpersons of the election committees to the election board. After that, the preliminary results will be determined and announced on www.tu-dresden.de/tu-dresden/organisation/wahlen. Following the review of the election documents and decisions on submitted election contestations, the results will be published in „Amtliche Bekanntmachungen der TU Dresden“.
Eligible voters will not receive a separate notification.
