International Summer Schools 2016
Once again, this year, the School of Science is hosting two International Summer Schools funded by TU Dresden’s Institutional Strategy.
The International Summer School in physics and chemistry - Symmetries and Phase Transitions – from Crystals and Superconductors to the Higgs particle and the Cosmos – takes place from 29th August to 2nd September 2016 and is jointly organized by Prof. Stöckinger (Institute for Nuclear and Particle Physics) and Prof. Doert (Inorganic Chemistry II). National and international PhD students or postdocs are cordially invited to obtain insight into the latest research on symmetries, symmetry breaking and phase transitions.
You can find all important information concerning the Summer School at:
The International Summer School Chemistry and Biology - Bio-Leaching and Metal Extraction Processes for Urban Mining: From Fundamental Principles to Practical Applications - takes place from 4th to 8th October 2016 and is jointly organized by Prof. Jan J. Weigand (Chair of Inorganic Molecular Chemistry) und Prof. Marion Ansorge-Schumacher (Chair of Molecular Biotechnology). Within this Summer School, national and international renowned researchers will introduce interested students on the master, PhD and postdoc-level to modern separation processes including certain aspects of bio-leaching. Applications are accepted till August 25th 2016.
