Strategy & Steering Committee

The Steering Committee "Internationalization", founded in February 2019, is responsible for the strategic orientation of all international activities at the School of Science. Our stated objective is to increase the international visibility of the School and to enhance the attractiveness of the subject areas at our School for international students and scientists.

Interna­tional studying, teaching and researching

Students and University members gain experience abroad in Europe and worldwide through support and University-wide exchange programs. The range of degree programs and courses with an international orientation and held in English is significant. International students and visiting scientists find the best conditions for studying, teaching and researching in Dresden.

Worldwide network of collabora­tions

Numerous international collaborations are intended to further expand cooperation in research and teaching. Here, we focus on selected collaborations of significance across all Faculties, and we pool and intensify activities within these partnerships, which are coordinated with the Schools, through appropriate networking formats.

International­ization of research and teaching

The subject cultures of mathematics and the natural sciences are international in their orientation as regards research topics, specialist language and the global dissemination of the disciplines. Accordingly, the School of Science has set itself the goal of increasing the international visibility of the School and of enhancing the attractiveness of the Departments of Biology, Chemistry & Food Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, and Psychology for international students and scientists. The School is very deeply committed to presenting Dresden as a cosmopolitan science location.
