Compact support
Everyday university life poses a number of challenges for students. These can include uncertainty or pressure and stress during their studies, financial worries, personal concerns and social problems. The current corona pandemic is exacerbating many of these issues and making it difficult for us to alleviate some of these problems through exchange and a door-to-door conversation. It is very important to us at the Faculty of Mathematics to promote the well-being of our students by creating a friendly and open atmosphere for everyone - even and especially in this challenging situation. While there are already a number of services available to help with subject-related difficulties (e.g. the study room), we want to offer students at the Faculty of Mathematics a first point of contact and platform for exchange in case of questions, concerns, major or minor problems related to their studies with our "Compact Support". Our team of sensitive contact persons offers an unbiased, confidential atmosphere to listen to you and exchange ideas with you. Our aim is to offer you advice or assistance at an early stage in order to help you with your concerns. In a weekly discussion group, we are available to advise you on individual inquiries, but also to exchange ideas with each other.
