| Inhalt der Lehrveranstaltung: | This is the IKTP/ITP-Proseminar with focus on theory/elementary particle physics/cosmology and related topics. As the title "Iconic Plots" suggests, there has been a range of breakthrough discoveries in these fields, and usually the resulting insights have culminated in plots/graphics which have then become famous and are now almost synonymous with the entire respective research fields. In the Proseminar, each talk should cover exactly one such plot, explain which breakthrough it represents and what its ingredients are. Guidelines for scientific presentations will be given and the proseminar talks will be analyzed. |
