| Summary of Lecture: | Synchrotron radiation plays an important role for modern solid state physics and materials science. This lecture provides an introduction to this innovative field, beginning with the production of synchrotron radiation and its outstanding features. Based on this, state-of-the-art spectroscopy and scattering techniques as well as novel imaging methods will be explained referring to specific examples. |
