Introduction into Polarons in Molecular Semiconductors
Modul:
Phy-Ma-Vert: Physikalische Vertiefung
Lecture language
English
Summary of Lecture:
When electrons are intrinsically confined, their electric fields affect the arrangement of the nuclei. This back-reaction, known as polaronic effect, has been observed in many systems. The lecture introduces the concept of polarons and their electronic and transport properties focusing on molecular semiconductors. Experimental signatures will be discussed.
