Summary of Lecture: | The lecture will cover the latest methods and results from the Large Hadron Collider. Topics will include precision Standard Model measurements to searches for Dark Matter. Special emphasis in the lecture is placed on statistical and experimental methods that are used frequently in particle physics. The tutorial is tailored so that you learn to apply these methods directly on real data from the ATLAS data. In this course, you will get to design your own Higgs analysis, test it using simulated data and then search for the Higgs in real data. Registration in OPAL is now open. | ||||||
