Identification of topic and your two supervisors
Registration of thesis at Examination Office: the submission date will be communicated to you after you registered your thesis. OME theses must be submitted within 22 weeks after registration.

The OME Examination Board may grant an extension of up to 8 weeks upon application. You must apply for an extension PRIOR to your fixed submission date.
Should you fall ill during your writing period, please present a doctor's certificate to your supervisors and the Examination Office
Extension of the deadline for the final thesis

Your thesis (PDF file) must be e-mailed to your reviewers by the set deadline. Please cc the Examination Office and include this document (submission of the academic dissertation)
The following documentation needs to be submitted by post (snail mail) to:

or dropped directly in the letter box of TUD using the address above (https://tu-dresden.de/tu-dresden/kontakte-services/anschrift)
- 2 hardcopies (professionally bound at a copy shop),
- signed Statement of Authorship,
- 1 digital copy on CD,
- form for submitting the thesis(submission of the academic dissertation)

After submitting your thesis, you must arrange a date/time/location for your defense in agreement with your supervisors.
The defense will last approx. 45min.
OME master defenses are public, i.e., your fellow students should be invited to attend.
Please inform the Examination Office and about the defense date by mail (the office needs to know this date to issue the exam protocol; OME would like to know the date to invite your fellow students).
